RDNS Springvale is seeking to recruit a Community Care Aide with a current level 2 First Aid Certificate to join their dynamic team. Our employees are provided with a comprehensive orientation training program followed by ongoing support and a continuous learning approach to further development.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a current Victorian drivers licence and completion of one of the below approved courses is compulsory:
- Certificate III or IV in Community Services (Home & Community Care) including the personal care module obtained between 1994 and 31 December 2000 OR
- Certificate III or IV in Community Services (Aged Care) including the appropriate personal care competencies obtained between 1 January 2001 until 2003 OR
- Certificate III in Home and Community Care (CHC30202) including the competency units Provide Personal Care (CHCHC302A) and Apply Advanced First Aid (HLTFA2A) obtained from 2003 onwards.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
- Experience in Aged Care
- Demonstrated knowledge of wound care initiatives and diabetes
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Excellent communication skills
