This position is part time (24 hours per week over 4 days) and based in the St Marys area.
Your role will be to use your initiative and develop community services and facilities through partnerships with residents, community groups and government agencies. To encourage residents to participate in the process of community development to foster social networks. To resource participants in issues of local concern and in the decision making process in the local LGAs.
Requirements:
To apply for this position you require:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Knowledge or experience of issues affecting disadvantaged communities
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team and autonomously
- Strong communication skills- both written and verbal
- Demonstrated skills in computer literacy
- An understanding of various governement legislation which affects community organisations
- Experience in working with government and non-government organisations
- Current drivers licence and own vehicle
