We have recently secured a new five year contract with the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) to provide medical services to persons in immigration detention throughout Australia

 

THE ROLE

Our onsite healthcare clinic is seeking a permanent part time Mental Health Team Leader based at the Villawood Immigration Detention Centre. In this position you will be working in a clinical environment during the week with no night duty. The role involves a multi pronged approach in the position of Mental Health Team Leader.  The successful candidate will be the cornerstone of the team providing clinical supervision, peer support, clinical assessments, counselling and report writing. You will forge key working relationships with stakeholders and the Community Treatment Team to ensure a high standard of Mental Health care.

THE PERSON

* Registered Mental Health Nurse in Victoria or eligible for registration.

* Proven experience in delivery of clinical services, case management and case coordination in a mental health setting

* Proven experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams in a Mental Health setting

* Excellent communication skills

* Excellent organisational skills

* PC proficiency to intermediate level
