The role of the Therapy Assistant is to assist in promoting and maintaining optimum levels of resident health and well being through the provision of routine physiotherapy exercises or movement rehabilitation programs on an individual or group basis that enables the achievement of health, social and spiritual life goals for all residents. This is :
- Under the supervision of the Physiotherapist provide Residents with exercise or movement rehabilitation programs as assessed by the Physiotherapist.
- As has been assessed by the Physiotherapist, deliver self-care and movement rehabilitation equipment to the resident
Requirements:
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated Experience in Aged Care Physiotherapy Exercise Program and Mobility Rehabilitation Programs
· Certificate in First Aid
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certificate In Allied Health Assistant or equivalent
- Currently studying Physiotherapy or related fields
